Winter Concert - February 5, 2010
"Kari Anne and Lost Creek" and "Young Fiddlers For Fun"

Jolly Hammers and Strings Dulcimer Club will provide pre-concert music starting at 7:00 p.m. The concert will begin at 8:00.

Grace A. Dow Memorial Library Auditorium
Eastman Avenue, Midland

Although the concert is "free," contributions support the activity and are appreciated.


Kari Anne and Lost Creek

Kari Anne Bodman is the lead singer. She first learn to play guitar while on a mission trip to Alaska where she live with the locals for a season. Kari has sung with a few bands and in church settings. She has been involved with musical setting since her early days of special music in church. She also helps the group with some harmony on a few songs and  rhythm instruments.

Neil Stoddard is the primary guitarist and harmony singer. Neil has 50 years of playing with a number of bands. He also plays Double Bass, Tinwhistle, and other instuments. Neil has taught himself to play many instruments by ear.

Ron Esch is one of Michigan's premier harmonica players. Ron has recorded on cd's of other band and has set in on concerts with bands also. He is a little known secret of our band which is the first band he has been an official member of. Ron has been playing harmonica since he was a kid.

Terry Walsworth is the lead instrumentalist and third harmony. Terry plays banjo in various styles and guitar. Terry has played with a number of groups and can be seen at jams around the area. Terry is the most experienced member and has many years under his belt.

The group would be described as Roots and Gospel music. We do tunes from Alison krauss, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch, Kathy Mattea, Cherish the Ladies. also Ukulele, Celtic, Jug Band,& Island.


Young Fiddlers for Fun

"Young Fiddlers For Fun"  features Cello Students of Lurinda Fletcher and Violin Students of Janet Kroon, with back-up musicians from the Calvary Mountain Boys.
